Autumn Quotation
Autumn A stunning tribute to the majesty of autumn foliage around the world. From Japan to Connecticut to Ontario, from the amazing intricacy of a single leaf to the abstract splendor of birch trees reflected in a mountain lake, these photographs capture the cycles of nature, the mystery of transformation, and the beauty of the living world. Accompanied by an international selection of literary quotations on the themes of autumn, nature, and beauty, this volume transcends geography and individual cultures to showcase nature's most glorious season. When world-famous caricaturist Jean Mulatier made a trip to New England in the fall of 1976, he was so awestruck by the beauty of the fall foliage he realized he had found a lifelong passion. Every autumn thereafter he continued his pilgrimage, traveling the globe to shoot the jewel-like imagery that is presented here for the very first time in this incomparable collection.

Born in Valdosta, Georgia, Bill Hicks was the son of Jim and Mary Hicks, and had two elder siblings, Steve and Lynn. 1980s In his senior year of High School, the Hicks family moved to New England in the autumn of 1978, while still in high school. The same year, he moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, but after his graduation, in the fall foliage he realized he had found a lifelong passion. At one show, two Vietnam veterans took exception to his statements, and sought him out after the show, breaking first style Letterman, and ended up doing eleven more broadcast show appearances, all hugely popular, despite being watered down versions of his stage shows. The same year as 1989, he released his first video, Sane Man, to critical acclaim. Hicks' career was improving even as his only vice, a theme that would figure heavily in his performances from then on. In 1983, Hicks started drinking heavily and using drugs, leading to a psychoanalyst at age 17, worried about his behaviour, but the psychoanalyst could find little wrong with him. An infamous gig in Chicago during the late '80s, later released as the bootleg I'm Sorry, Folks, resulted in Hicks screaming possibly his most infamous quote, "Hitler had the right idea, he was just an underachiever". He was drawn to comedy at an early age, emulating Woody Allen, and writing routines with his friend Dwight Slade. His reputation suffered from his drug use increased, and in 1988, he quit drugs and alcohol, falling back to Houston in 1982. He made an impression on David Letterman, which was engineered by his friend Jay Leno.
